Is this Hitler's signature?

That card and format are real. I have an identical card with some different wording from 1942. The signature is the same and in the same area of the card. These were apparently sent every year to thank various people, musicians on my card, who performed for Hitler for the holidays. I know mine is real as I know the US soldier who brought it back in '45 and I received it from him.

I have one, that is signed by Hitler in pen, same paper, you know the usual Christmas cheer etc:

I was given mine by a lovely chap at the SOS a couple of years ago. He had "found" an original pile of the cards, had an old typewriter and "banged away on the keys"

His "friend" was a forger.......who perfected the early war signature to a tee. Using a 1940's pen, and having the ink made especially........... where's this leading to?

Well, he told me that it was impossible for anyone to tell it was fake, and challenged me that if I could he would give me the RK folder on his table................. So, When I flew home, I sent it to a very well known and respected "dealer" in the US

The reply was that it was without doubt an original AH signature

I then sent it to a UK specialist, same thing. Didn't get my folder, and have kept in touch with the guy who gave me a pile ever since

I have to giggle .so who actually knows?

Of course if one wanted to spend the money, I assure you that the technology exists to prove your friends effort a forgery.

Fortunately, I know the provenance on mine since 1945 and was posting merely to clarify the existence and use of the cards. These cards were in possession of and prepared by the staff at the "Kanzlei des Fuhrers" which handled Hitler's personal affairs at the new Reichschancellery Building at DoBftraBe 4, Berlin W8.

I know from experience that it is not unusual to have staff trained to duplicate a signature and signature machines exist so the issue of the signature is always at issue. Also very common was for the administrative staff to prepare numbers of documents for the person to sign, a common practice by Hitler's Chancellery staff. They were totally trusted to handle all of Hitler's personal affairs.

I also have another of these cards already typed but not signed with a different message. Also quite a lot of different types of stationary, carbon paper, a few red seals, even a plate. All are from the same offices and include pieces simply "Adolf Hitler," "Kanzlei des Fuhrers der NSDAP," and "Der Oberste SA-Fuhrer."

Heres my Hitler signature , on a postcard which was found attached on the inside front cover of a 1936 Olympics cigarette card album which a very good friend uncovered. He is a collector of Cigarette card albums and purchased the 1936 Olympic album set from a older german lady in her 80,s in Bremerhaven, Germany in 1980. The lady told my collector friend that her deceased husband had been in the Hitler Youth in 1936 and had attended the olympics where he obtained Hitlers signature on the postcard. You can still see the paste/glue marks on the back of the card -

I know this thread is old, but I just found this on google while trying to research something I have.

I know where mine came from, and it would be basically impossible for it to be a forgery; But I still want a way to prove that to a collector. Notice the signature is in a different location. It has a closed loop on the H, and the line through the top is wider.

if you TRULY know Hitler's autograph is REAL, how much would you pay? who confirms?

Welcome to the forum.

Confirmation can only happen in your own mind based upon your own knowledge and study or from the considered opinions of others well versed in identifying such memorabilia of which there are several members here.

If you have a signature that needs authenticating if you post it on this forum you will get the considered opinions of collectors who have experience.

If you TRULY know it is original then a confirmation is irrelevant.

As for value? I have no idea but I'm sure you will get an idea here. Don't forget, it depends where the signature is written. Inside a first edition Mein Kampf, an awful lot more than scribbled on the back of a fag packet.

I myself would distrust any signature, where no reasons are given WHY Adolf Hitler should have signed it personally
that is true for any on blank paper and any mass-productions like the large majority of military citations and awards.
some collectors may believe, that the "Führer" spent most of his days signing millions of documents.
instead nearly all of them were either pre-printed or signed by autopens which were even used by many simple generals
more than 99% of all fakes were produced by forgers after Hitlers death on any kind of material they could find somewhere
even on "a first edition Mein Kampf", most unlikely "on the back of a fag packet", coz the Führer didn't like smoking
most of the real autographs were destroyed by allied bombs at the end of that bloody war,
the few survivors were destroyed by their owners before the allied armies occupied germany searching for nazis.
so REAL handwritten autographs are extremely rare and therefore most valuable.
I would like to hear from posters who own one, where they got it from at what price
where it is written upon and what was their proof of authenticity
