    hello all

i have posted this one a few months ago but i still didnt found out what it really is its not for the music corp as were suspected. My thoughts are going to a officers baton who might just it during military drill

And it has initials "V.P" even those are hard to find back
I only found a RK Trager with those initials

Hopefully someone can help me further with this for me mystery object
The bayonet is for size comparison.

It has 3 very small silvermarks all in a triangular shape.

    Mate,

If you can trace the silver marks it may give a better clue to country and year of origin.

I have seen many of those type drill canes/swagger sticks but they are British.

What makes you believe it is German?

    Regards

I would still check the silver marks as the EK does not look as if it was always on there, but saying that it is a photo so not always easy to say.

If the silver is not from Germany then it is added later?

    Mate,

I know nothing about silver, perhaps a local jewler can help you out. I do know that German silver is on average indicated by an 800 stamp, hope this helps and good luck with your research.

hello it hasn't an 800 stamp
    but thanks for trying

The local shop doesn't know anything nowadays, only if you have something for repair or if you wanna sell stuff, otherwise they really dont take the effort. They hardly look at it and say there is nothing there and they go on with their thingy
