Sdesic: My guess is that it is a WWI patriotic item that went on a necklace or was used as a watch fob. I say that because of the motto, the style of the eagle, and the absence of a swastika. The style of the eagle also suggests that it might be representative of Germany's Luftstreitkräfte. It's a nice looking item. Dwight
Sdesic: That is a nice looking patriotic piece from WWII, no doubt about that, and the swastika is absent too which surprises me given its ubiquity during the TR period. I am sure someone will point out that the motto, "Gott mit Uns" was also used during WWII, but never-the-less, the one you originally posted still strikes me as being from WWI. That example has a certain elegance to it, unlike the subtle bombastic style of the WWII example you posted for comparison. They both look terrific to me and I would be pleased to have both in my collection. In any event, I am guessing about the first one. The Best, Dwight
