It's actually part of flatware service for the Hamburg America Line, a German shipping line that became at one time the worlds biggest shipping co. despite having most of it's fleet confiscated as war reparations twice in the 20th century after the 1st and 2nd world wars.
The main source of income was the huge number of Germans who emigrated to the U.S in the late 19th to early 20th century. The line merged with another German shipping co. to become HAPAG - LLOYD in 1970.

Thanks! So original item but no connections with Leibstandarte at all. Actually this item is listed on ebay.de right now as Lah plate from Berlin...
It is a very nice plate, but as mentioned in previous posts, it has nothing to do with the liebstandarte.
Cheers.
