hi all..i saw a metal copper box for the Hitler's book Mein Kampf...really impressive but...genuine??

reminds me of the opening scene in one of the nsdap documentaries when they forge a metal mein kampf cover while very ominous music played in the background haha never thought one realy existed but i think its original i mean im no expert but its unusual for a fake to just have the year 1939 1940 on it they usually go all the way and not an odd nr but then again im no expert on this subject regards DS

I would say it has a good chance at being authentic, and privately made. Probably only one in existence. Most likely a gift or presentation.

The book in there is a 1939 Mein Kampf Jubiläumsausgabe, or Jubilee Edition, marking AH's 50th birthday. It appears to be in amazing condition. What was the price when listed?

Something similar for an earlier edition - The attached photos are reported as being a gift to AH from Gauleiter Otto Telschow.

I have seen these silver enhanced presentation MKs and they are unique and I would love to have one in my collection.

I completely agree Erich. I love the hammered copper look, as well as the overall folk art look of the case. It's very nice.

The skill on the part of the bookmakers from those times was amazing. Truly a lost art these days.
