Never seen anything like this before, but I like the look of it.

The eagle is Heer, so maybe it was to commemorate the units service at the Front attached to the Army?

I'm sure they did that by hand, pretty incredible. They didn't have Dremel tools back then either.

Lovely bowl, a friend had a lovely one with the luftwaffe eagle fully across the inner of the bowl with the unit details and pilots names on the bottom but that was many moons ago and he sold it 30 odd yrs ago, i cursed him for that as i always admired it and was desperate to have it, but hey ho, cant win them all
