I like them, but have no clue what they are or for what they were used. They sure look like Reich Adlers, maybe the swas was fixed to the marble bse and was removed after the war? The height sounds right for on a desk or so, little small for book stands I think.

I advise caution...I've seen similar aged cast adler coming out of India...Although I confess they are quite attractive & tempting, lol...

The casts look fairly decent, the suface rust or crud make it a little harder. I do not think their India piece but not sure their Reich either. I would default to the price and whether or not you like them but would not value them high.

Odd that there are so few chest feathers and wonder about the blank spot. Did they once have Swastika's on the chests and were expertly ground down to de-Nazify?

A second thought based on a material that attracts rust, the white bases if original to the pieces and the style may make these Facist and Italian. Their pretty good all in all but the cast material does not seem to fit Germany to well.
