Hi,
I would like to know if the flag is single sided or not ? .
Dave.
Hi Dave, a good idea, but even the vehicle ID flags were of a standardised size and configuration: they had a brass grommet at each corner for a rope attachment. They also were printed.
This one has a tunnel, which I imagine, would allow it to be mounted via pole.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Ade,
True, i forgot about the grommets, and you do have a point about the tunnel, It is an odd one.
dave.
Thank you everyone for all of your help!!
Could it have once been a longer panel that has been altered? You know, the very long, wall display type seen on the outside of buildings etc.
Just a thought.......
Regards, Steve.
Justin, I have the very same flag. My dad brought it home from Germany. It hung in an officers headquarters in Germany where he got took it off the wall. It is a standard issue office flag. Mine is beginning to show the same aging that yours is. Don't let other's BS you. I took it out last week just to be sure. It is made with very thin material. The white circle and black Swastika are sewn on. There is only one side. There should be grommets in the corners. It was not made for outdoor display.
I like it .It looks like a field made flag.I do not see anything that say fake fake to me.Not every item were factory made .But this time of flag do not sell for alot.
Looks ok to me as well, at the right price! I wouldnt pay more than 50$us for it
Its right, just beaten and folded. For what these cost you can get a better example.
Best,
Kris
