If it is a modern addition I d'ont know, but I saw another one on a internet shop sold as an original , but on what do you see that it is a modern addition?

He is referring to the etching, most of the time if you see any etching such as these they are added postwar.

It's a shame that the bogus engraving has somewhat spoiled a very nice Cortebert 532 calibre pocketwatch. The fact it has no shock protection means it's probably pre-WWII. Also, 15 jewels probably means pre-1930's. The 20's is a good guess for a date on this watch. They were very popular with railway companies worldwide for many years as they kept accurate time. The Cortebert company name was bought by Omega in 1972. A clean, unmessed with example (which this is not) is worth between $250-$300.

One can only hope that the person who messed with this nice piece received far less than what it was worth before the additions to "spice up" the item were added.

A beautiful Swiss watch with a fine porcelain dial featuring very attractive blue second markings. A shame that someone saw fit to ruin it's case.
