Article about: Heres a modern grave light with a lid although basic ones can be purchased without lids which can fit inside a glass lantern type container or just placed on the grave. I would suggest that

Has anyone heard of Nsdap tealights before?. Apparently these are original pieces that were put up in German shops etc with a candle inside them. How could i tell if they were genuine?. Pic below.

These so called tea lights are still used today in Germany only without the Swaz - they are Grave lights and are placed on graves by the families when they visit the grave site - I was just over in Germany and my Grandmother is buried in Munich and my wife and I placed a red container with a candle inside on the grave - If you ever visit a German graveyard you will see plenty of these(no Swaz).
The ones with the Swaz were obviously used during the III Reich for the same purpose on graves .

Thanks Horst , i had no idea that these were used to put on the graves of soldiers. Very helpful information and much appreciated thank you , do you think they were also displayed in windows etc. I only ask that as the seller mentioned these were put on display to show support for the 3rd Reich. Or was their original purpose indeed for graves? which would date them slightly later. As he dates them to 1933. But looking at them again now i certainly see how they would be used on graves. Gives me the chills thinking about that though.
