A little picture help, for those of us with old necks... ;-) Touched it up a smidge as well, made it stand out a little better. Click on it, then hit the + button, plenty big enough to read it all. Maybe someone could translate?

I have taken the liberty to orient your photos properly. Please attempt to do this yourself next time. It is not fair to expect members to assist you if your photos are all sideways.

    It translates as:

"Dedicated in gratefulness to the victorious commander, President of the German Reich, unifier of all German tribes, by the municipality of Fürstenfeld-Bruck on the occasion of his being made its honorary citizen. 28th May 1933"

The person in question is, of course, Paul von Hindenburg, who is portrayed in the center of the document.

The words "TANNENBERG" and "30. JANUAR 1933" in the scroll on top refer to the victorious battle of Tannenberg in 1914 (which was inseparably linked with Hindenburg's name) and the Nazi seizure of power in 1933.

Fürstenfeldbruck (the official spelling since 1908, but the hyphenated version is still sometimes seen today) is a town in Upper Bavaria, located some 25 kilometers away from Munich.
Reichspräsident von Hindenburg, Reichskanzler Hitler and Reichsstatthalter von Epp were all made honorary citizens of Fürstenfeldbruck in 1933.

The Bavarian artist Wilhelm Donaubauer was born in Ingolstadt in 1886 and died in Fürstenfeldbruck in 1949. Among other things, he was a founding member of the Fürstenfeldbruck artists' association and designed the local memorial for Fürstenfeldbruck's elevation to town status in 1935.

Excellently rendered and almost certainly uncommon! A Very nice find, for sure!

First, please no flash-pictures, and natural light pictures can be better.
Second is it on heavy or light paper ?

First impression is water colour based. But high quality water colour. Like the yellow one who' s very hard to keep intense in time.
Maybe Schminke brand as "HORADAMs Patent-Aquarellfarben" because this brands is still one german leader in watercolour since 1892 !

the artist is better for leafs and nature than human design.

The second intersting point is this boat on the background:

Maybe someone can have more information about it.

That' s only i can say actually with yours pictures.
A nice period art, but you HAVE to keep it safe from light absolutly.
If not, paper ( if it' s paper) will turn to yellow and colors will fade !

Not only light...but air too. Indeed, such a piece commands due care and attention.

True that, better keep it safe from humidity.
Better condition for conservation is :
2 sheet of acid-free paper, and 2 paper "elephant" ( same as you found in the photo album ).
you keep your document beetween them.
    Safe from light and air.
I understand the wish to show it as we can see on your pictures, but it' s one of the worst way if you want to keep it in original condition.

Don' t forget, the value of this kind of document is based on the history value, but the brightness and paper conservation is the key if you want to keep the value of an original watercolor draw.
Theses advices are only relevant if it' s an original one and not a reproduction.
