    Default One Of My Favorites!

Hi Guys, I posted this medal in the past but I had the camera out today and decided to take another photo. This non portable medal is one of the favorite pieces in my collection. It was owned by Hitler and later by his housekeeper Frau Winters. After her death in 1970, her estate was auctioned in 1971 which consisted of Hitlers personal items and many of his awards. This medal in gold was part of that auction and was made by Deschler.

Thanks Horst, historical indeed when you consider it's original owner and I feel lucky to be it's care taker.

Phenomenal piece and history Erich. The detail on the eagle is incredible. How big is it? Keep the faith and good luck finding your uncle's medal Horst.

Jay - Yes, keep the faith and save those dollars - like Fred Sanford always said:" Its the big one" and it will be to pay for the BO.
