Opinions on Hitler Berghof teaspoon please

Article about: Has anyone got an opinion on this dealer bought teaspoon. Is the pattern right? The engraving looks rather roughly done to me, is that how they were, or is this a fake?

Hi Nigel, I'm not an expert like some of the more senior members, but here are a few threads that have come up in the past on this sort of thing.

    Hi Nige,

It's not fake per se, it's just not part of Hitler's flatware and cutlery-by a long straw. I seem to remember that this design crops up regularly as 'AH' cutlery but is in fact from an Austrian hotel in the Tyrol region called the 'Adler Hof'. Below is the correct design by Bruckmann that the Fuhrer had made exclusively for him.

    Hello Nigel,

As big ned states, Bruckmann made the personal sets (there were several) and this item doesn't have the Bruckmann mark. That's a good link too, thanks to big ned for that.

    Regards,

    Carl.
