Im thinking about getting this and was curious if it was original and if 60$ is a good price for it?

Awesome, Thanks for the help!
I would like at least a couple more opinions before I go and buy it
All the best,
Stefan
Stefan, I also got one recently after being told that it was a good piece, but after posting here https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/non-c...plaque-180239/
I'm not so sure anymore. Issues raised in the thread make it difficult for me to accept this as TR period anymore, but to each their own.

Ok thanks for the info, I contacted the dealer and he adjusted the info and price accordingly.
All the best,
Stefan
I would save your money.
I saw lots of these for sale at Beltring on one stall, complete with some with SS runes instead of the swastika.
Cheers, Ade.

There are period ones, heres mine which not only shows its age but also whats remaining of the connecter fittings for the prong/screw which as explained in Angolias DAF book was probably used as a desk ornament etc.-
The one shown by Stefan does reflect the lower cog missing which possibly held the connecter fittings but was broken off when removed from whatever or the cog was just broken off to deceive -
Have to agree with Ade, never saw any with the SS emblem, these are probably 4th Reich also there were copies of the DAF cog made so one has to be very careful to say the least.
