Does anybody have military paintings from WW2?
How much would this original painting be worth?

Ps. I am not selling it, it is going to be hung in a WW2 Museum here in Norway..

It is official Nazi art of the period.
That said, it is hard to put a price on items like this because they do not come up in regular art auctions and do not have comparisons to judge by.
I would think on a good day it might fetch $1000.00 to $1500.00 in a military artifact auction. But remember auction estimates are not chiseled in stone.

Its painted off a photo and appears to be painted yesterday to my eyes and these come up quite a bit lately. Maybe its right but not hard to paint over something to get that rear canvas age and if it sat in an attic for 60 years I doubt it would look like that with not so much as a hint of age to the front.

It is an oil painting... the oil paint on the front of the canvas is not effected by water (condensation) but the canvas on the back which is not covered in oil paint is therefore been exposed.. By the way, the climate in Norway is pretty good for preserving stuff like this..

Did not ask of the originality but about the price for this original painting...
