Would appreciate opinions on this train eagle described as "a large alloy train eagle in good condition with makers name & marks to the rear, eagle with approx 4ft wingspans.

Wrong. Well known fake, markings completely bogus and 'APAG' never seen on a real one in this style. The threaded bosses give it away as a design that originated in the '70s and are a sure fire sign of fake production.
