Really, I found plates, spoons, forks, and knives at the fleamarket in Mainz in the early 60s with nazi markings and USED THEM to eat with. I even started a group here on this forum for folks who like to use this stuff to enoble their daily lives.
Once, when preparing to board the ferry in Dover bound for Ostend a British official pulled me into a little room to politely inspect the HJ knife with black metal sheath that was hanging from my belt into my back pocket. "Oh"', he said, letting me go, "I'm sorry, I thought it was a gun". That lovely knife was stolen in India, so there's at least one HJ Messer there.
