Soldier Bust - Plaster...Thoughts?

Article about: Just got back from Gettyburg and picked this up at a local shop. It is plaster with a few chips here and there Know nothing about these but it wasn't expensive so if I did not chose wisely,

    I think it is OK.

    Thanks Ade. It was a gamble when I picked it up, but was a decent enough price that I could afford to be wrong.

    Not fond of these plaster busts , most I have run across were post 45 production-

    Well this is the nearest I could find...one from a reserve catalogue.
    Looks like it could be a variation of both styles with the M18 helmet

    Still looking like a good period piece to me.

    Map, here is exactly the same bust as yours but produced in metal............

    Yes, and someone made a cast of the metal one and poured in plaster and wa-la a perfect copy of the original.
