SS Book Ends and Desk Eagle

Greetings, A few months ago I came across some items at a trodel markt in Germany that caught my eye. From what I can tell it's a desk eagle and a set of book ends. I've done several searches on the internet and I've not been able to find anything similar. I went ahead and purchased the items euro. I'm looking for any info on the items or the bottom line "are they legit?" I'm posting several pictures of the items. There are not any stamps or markings. I pulled back the felt on the bottom and the bolts on the bottom are rusty. Any info will be appreciated.

There are many, many variants of reproduction and fantasy piece that resemble Third Reich era desk ornamentation. These however, are far more impressive than the typical junk that rolls out of the usual markets. I am in no way stating their originality, but if they are fantasy/reproduction, they are patently above the standard of the general attempts.

I am not convinced. Something of this nature and quality - I'm not
saying there is any with these items - would likely have a foundry
mark or artists signature. I'd like a pic of the rusty bolts.........

Agree ,looks like some fake from the 70s.

The bases of all three pieces are made up of random pieces of marble. The base of the eagle has a common stylized victorian/edwardian pattern on it, why is this? The two 'bookends' are parts reworked from an old marble fireplace/fire surround, note the bottom of the one on the left has a recess cut into it where the mantle face was fitted into it.

The blue and white marble discs make no sense, as neither does the brown marble beneath the eagle. Once again, the casting of the SS runes surrounded by a poorly designed oakleaf wreath surmounted with numerous swastika's is utterly ridiculous and typical of the fakers 'over egging the pudding' by trying to cram in as much nazi symbolism as possible. Finally, the metal to marble fitting is lamentable and would never have passed Q.C. muster if genuine.

This is a set of fantasy items, although they do look reasonably impressive if given a cursory glance, but that is all.

I do like the looks of them. Trench Art???? Made up of many Different parts laying around??? At the end of the war the troops had some time on there hands.
It is just a thought....

Very impressive at first glance, detailed( perhaps too much), certainty the eagle is well made and is the more detailed of the three, which tends to cloud the issue of the other two, perhaps deliberately designed to this effect,I agree with Neds observations re the bases, they were certainly made from another product, and very likely a marble fireplace, judging by the recesses and the (Victorian/Edwardian) scroll motif, the lack of makers mark or foundry no/s is another red flag, I would say post war manufactured
