If you are interested in learning about such regalia, however, the pictorial and intellectual resources of this site are without peer.
So long as you accept the rather accommodating rules of this site, you may learn a great deal.
Adjustment of one's level of credulity and one's level of ambition are important first steps, especially as concerns ebay and generally as concerns the whole digital heap.
Most of what you see in a random on line search is fake, as my able colleagues point out.
If I insisted on collecting SS things as a beginner, I would collect the paper goods, i.e. the ideological publications.
They are decorative and less prone to fakery than the idiot cap badges and the rather boring collar patches and such.
I am very jaded with all of this, you see, and have created many resentful people with my posts, but nothing about the SS is pleasant or easy.
Bob Coleman has enormous experience with all of this, as he has collected since the middle 1950s.

Many of these images are courtesy of the Telesmanich website, German War Booty, which has an excellent pictorial resource of superb images and authentic material.
Use it as a reference. And we have all our threads and many posts in detail.

Andreas and his colleagues here are wise and their advice is sage and telling in thousands of cases.
Pretty sure those are Deschler eagles, I mean on the cups, now that people could be confusing these with the ones originally posted
