Looks like junk, to me. Why is a German SS hospital being called a "Hospital"-an English term?

    Hello William
    Krankenhaus is for civilian hospital
    Hospital is for military hospital

My opinion is that cup is a fake, but I would like to have some opinions ??

Hi Didier...the enamel composition is interesting in itself..and I would like to hear info on or see other similar examples with this process. The lettering...I can not comment on..but the cup itself..almost looks like one found in Grandmoms cupboard. The cup and enamel composition IMO could be from the period. I would like to hear more on the lettering. Regards Larry

When you see an SS man listed as being in hospital in his SoldBuch, it lists it as "Lazerett". I don't know what to make of this cup either, but I suspect a period cup(of which this type is ubiquitously common) with an added marking at a later date.

I'm with William Lazerett is the German word used in any documentation !!
