Hi,
I have one. At first i thought it was authentic, Name, date and details but now I think it si only very good replica, because his name have an initial, K. Herwig, oohhhh. He was starntführer, This was granted 11-10-40 it is real.
The good thing is that ring no cost a lot, it was a gift. ;-)

It's fake indeed: Once again, the presence of the initial is one error the fakers made; the non-existing award date is another.

Yeah, I suspect it. Where can I to check the award dates? Only for information At my book, "Der SS Tptenkopfring" (Klaus D. Patzwall) dont find it.

Award dates for the rings were not random; they were always keyed to significant events and anniversaries. In 1936, Himmler officially regulated that there would be only four annual award dates for the Totenkopfring:

• 20 April (Hitler's birthday)
• 21 June (the summer solstice)
• 9 November (the failed 1923 Putsch)
• 21 December (the winter solstice)

Prior to this, there had been three additional dates:

• 24 December 1933 (Christmas)
• 30 June 1934 (the Röhm Purge)
• 7 March 1936 (the remilitarisation of the Rhineland)
