Swiss watch

I also have this watch a friend gave me. Goodness knows where he got it from.

It's a Swiss Doxa watch, i think it's an original that has engravings added to it to make it appear like an 'SS' watch.

I want to know is if it is an original Swiss Doxa watch?

This is my opinion as well, i think it looks quite cool in of itself-but it's fantasy, and they have carved their fantasy onto an original, historical piece.

About the only way to tell with a wristwatch is to pop open the back plate so you can see the movement. Until you can see it, it could literally be anything.

There's a lot of crap like this about just lately, the watch above is being discussed on a facebook page at the moment, the sad thing is a lot of the clowns are falling over themselves to buy it!.....

So i take it the watches are common antique Swiss watches, and people are taking them and carving Nazi symbols into them?

Yes indeed, old Swiss and German etc watches being "sexed up" with nazi symbolism!...

I have seen that these are mostly in poor condition
and in need of overhauls to function, which can
cost hundreds. A couple of TR decals and/or
engravings as the above watch shows, will
make them attractive and saleable
to the uninitiated.........
