Volks radio

Article about: Not sure if this is the right forum to place this, so admin please move if needed. That being said, I just picked up this little guy. Saw one in a museum display, and decided I wanted one. N

    I have one just like this and it works- used it in Germany back in the 80,s picked up AFN(Armed Forces Network) -It also works here in the USA, these have a switch on the inside to change it over from 220v to 110v , just have to use the plug adapter.

    Thanks for that bit of information, Horst! That was the only thing stopping me from getting one...I see them for sale on German Ebay.de fairly regularly...now I must have one, lol...

    I should add that when I got mine I had a German navy officer in the Bundesmarine(Navy) Ortnungschule in Bremerhaven check it out for me before I used it - he did have to change a few tubes, which were available in the then DDR - So what ever you get make sure you do have it looked at or you could do more damage to it.

    Got it running, only gets one station. Zee zweet zound of Ze burning books.

    Just joshing.
