In the USA a bronze in Life size or 1 1/2 life size you start looking at $3,000 to $3,500 on up. I agree you will not find an original at $2500 or less. I have seen a few nice ones made by Liebermann that sold for the price I mentioned of $3,000 to $3,500 in the past 2 years but like I said at the major military shows the Life Size or larger the asking price is between $5,000 to $7,000. The ones I have seen that are original that sold for in the $3,000 range came from private collections or veteran family pickup. Regards Don
Hi Don.
I guess the market allways dictates the price etc.
If it was 2500 cheaper I would most probabley buy it but its just to far for me $ wise.....house payments etc.
Rgds Peter.
Perter : I know the feeling when you have bills and family they come first. Like I have told many people before only spend what you can aford and never spend any money you need to live on or pay your bills with as you will run into finacial problems and end up selling the item ceaper them you bought it to pay your bills. Think with your head and not with your heart like you are doing and the hobby of collecting these artifacts will be more enjoyable. Sometimes we need to pass on an item but down the road another one comes along to make up for what we had to let go or pass on. Regards Don
Don,
Great advice,agree with you 100%.......Dave H
Hey Pat,I don't think anyone on this side of the ''pond'' knows what a plonker is.Help your American cousins out
you say there not that hard to find but i cant find any past sales or any for sale? where would be the best place to look?
You can usually find some at the major Militaria Shows . In the USA that would be the MAX Show in Pittsburg or the show next week the SOS in Louisville Kentuky. Regards Don
