Hello I don't think bund they had a totally different emblem that incorporated a swastika. I don't necessarily even think pre war given the metal construction. But social club. Perhaps German or Polish maybe Slovenian. Hard to say it's probably a case where they had a generic stencil/stamp made and the eagle was a general shape as it doesn't really conform to a specific national eagle. Still a pretty awesome set of chairs. Best regards.

Yes, we were thinking a social club of some kind. Perhaps I will try researching New York club emblems. Thanks for the input!

I wish you the best of luck. I feel that will be one tall order, there had to be hundreds if not thousands of them (social clubs) in that time and era in nyc. I did see the patent date of 1938 so I suppose it could be pre war? I thought it would be close to lend lease and rationing would of been implemented already. But perhaps not. Even still without an exact identification, they are still great decorative pieces. Nice find. Best regards.

An early badge with stylized eagle from American socialist movement from the 1920's (pre bund) similar but still with swastika. Image from the excellent Scott Freeland Bund book. He cites the existence of 38 local bund charters in NYC alone. Best regards.
