Help Needed on Identification

Hi Guys. Iam trying to reserch some information for a friend of mine who's Granfarther was a Member os the SS,but have come to a end with no results. His Name was Wilhelm Hoelper and i was told he was a High Ranking Officer,who escaped to South America after the War...Any leads wood be greatly appreciated.

Your friend could contact the Deutsche Dienststelle, which can supply service records if they exist.

No officer named Hoelper or Hölper is listed in the SS officers' lists (SS-Dienstalterslisten), so, if he was a member of the SS, he was not a high-ranking one.
