Default Hitler house and family grave

Following a recent visit to the area, here are a few images of the house that Adolf Hitler lived in during some of his most formative years. The family moved to the area, Leonding, following his father's retirement from the Austrian customs service. Leonding, located several miles from Linz, was young Adolf's home from the age of nine, the family eventually spending seven years there. Today, the house is used as an office for the cemetary located directly opposite. The graveyard of St.Michael's church, which Hitler attended as a boy, is the location of an unmarked family grave. The burial site, located under a large fir tree to the left of the church, is the resting place of his baby brother Edmund, and both of his parents Alois and Klara.

Great pics Carl. I've seen pics of hitlers parents graves before but they had headstones, have they been removed?

No problem, I just learned about it too, its rather a shame historically but politically i think they made the right choice.

    All the best,

Yes, it was indeed only recently altered. The staff at the site keep it in a beautiful condition, and the location is much more than the final resting place of the relatives of Adolf Hitler, and this must be remembered by all visitors.

    Carl
