Guys

Would just like to say what a fantastic and truly informative forum this is. I have been fascinated with the Wehrmacht since I was a boy..you know always the German when playing war, only one with Action Man constantly in a German uniform, always rooting for the Germans in war films,all my plastic models ..yes you guessed it German!

My garage ( which my wife refers to as the "bunker") is awash with hundreds of books on the subject. I have also a small medal collection of around 40 medals.

I thought I had more knowledge than most but after reading your threads etc I am still a novice but thanks to you guys still learning loads!

Keep it going strong and hopefully I will contribute soon!

Welcome aboard mate , looking forward to seeing some of your gear , and dont worry if you find theres a fake to be found , your not alone there ,most of us have been bitten somewhere along the line

The books I have on fakes are outdated can you recommend anything more 21st century!

I am a great believer in buying books, but the best place to discover about fakes is the forum. In the last couple of years there have been some excellent books published which cover just one war badge or decoration in great detail.
