Stab/Infanterie Regt 343
Hi Chaps.
I'm trying to find some info about the Stab/Infanterie Regt 343, but I'm not having much joy. Can anyone recommend a good site that breaks down the various Infantry Divisions and lists their actions?
Or, does anyone know which division this regiment was attached to, and their actions.
I have a large grouping for a Feldwebel Kramer who was in this Regt from 39-42, and he must have seen quite a bit of action, due to the awards he received.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Best regards
Mark.

Re: Stab/Infanterie Regt 343
Cheers for that Ade and Paul, much appreciated. I thought he had been in the thick of it. From what i can gather, he moved to 3/Gren Regt 289 which was part of 98 Inf Div at Sevastopol. He was a Hauptfeldwebel by then, and managed to get out of Crimea and make it to Konstanta. He ended up in the captivity of the US 3rd Army somehow. His discharge papers are signed by a Capt Robert L Crist Inf 1st TD Brigade Bad Aibling.
Best regards
Mark
