Few shots from Vienna, we visited earlier this week...
Government buildings, church detail, memorials to WW2 victims and The Imperial Hotel were one Mr.Hitler stayed.
A beautiful city, if you haven't been put it on your list.

Would love to go there and explore all the Europe places and cites, but alas, the kids prevent this
When they've grown up they can treat you to a tour of the sites of Europe eh? True enough, everywhere you go throughout Europe was affected in some way by the second world war and there is still plenty to see. I was out on the West Coast of the States a few years ago, so I don't feel TOO sorry for you!
Cheers!

A beautiful city indeed! I went there only for a day when I was in Budapest so didnt have time to see it all. I will surely go back one day and do the WW2 trail !

Vienna is a great city, full of history. The Army Museum is well worth visiting.
Scene of heavy fighting in the last days of WWII. The Soviet Monument rivals the one in Berlin. The big Flak towers are worth going to as well. The Saturday market has a flea market attached, plenty of WWII relics last time I went there.
Here is a YOUTUBE film I made showing the FLAK towers.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
