I can only recognise the first word ''fur'' which stands for ''for''
interesting
Sometimes, seeing it it negative format can help identify hidden inscriptions or in this case, painted words..........?
I suggest something like - 'fried_ichen(r)t Hattdel(?) und.................?'
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Perhaps there are period images of this building scattered on the web somewhere?
Looking through old vintage photos of this building, I cannot find any that show this odd inscription. The building itself was built in 1909 and was originally used to hold gas up until 1977. It was since converted in 2002-2005 by the Austrian-born artist Yadegar Asisi into a panoramic exhibit hall and has hosted several various themes and exhibits. Perhaps this inscription could be from one of the exhibits?

"Much that once was, is lost. For none now live who remember it."
No, this is a surely old inscription, which could be seen from the bridge in the old time. The inscription looks old, and have seen several of them in the other buildings about 8 years ago. And what is most important that it was heavily cleaned to hide something
