BALEN BEVRIJD - Balen Bevrijd heet u welkom!

I was not sure where to post this website, but I came across it and found it very interesting, with items that have been found among homes that relate to the battle and liberation of this part of the Netherlands.

Of interest to me was the narrative regarding the German losses from the Ersatz und Ausbildungs Rgt H.G. which are documented and include details of their EKM markings. This give ample credence to those who are sceptical of the development of this unit over 1944-45 and its renaming.

Highly recommended viewing (or via google translate).
