I hope I've posted this in the correct Place, but I wanted to share this with you. This is a link to an article and many photos of a Russian T-34 tank that was cpatured by the Germans....note the markings on the tank. It was pulled out of a lake in Estonia in 2000 and still had 116 Shells on board!! Take the time and read the article. The story is great! The tank was very well preserved after all of those years underwater.

oh im sorry if this was posted before....ive used the websites search engine to look for discovered tanks before and never have seen this posted. My bad. I thought the same thing as "rommel1942"....how beautiful that tank's condition was after all this time. Definitely the most preserved piece of ww2 ANYTHING that i have seen unearthed! and what did you mean by another website using your pics? just curious

This T34 Beute Panzer has featured many times on many forums including this one since it was found !! I think Dimas means that he took the photos as he was there and they have since been copied and posted by many others.

    cheers

Oh wow! thats awesome you were there Dimas. Very lucky man and thank god you took pics too! I didnt mean to beat a dead horse by posting this. Like i said, i was surfing that site and was amazed at the near perfect condtiion the tank was in. Must have been a wonderful experience actually being present for the excavation/pull. Do you know if they have started the restoration at all yet?
