I was talking with Bill and we think it shows a prototype Soviet SMG and is a rare pic. Compare it to the one shown here which is very similar:

Dimas this is the only one i know of that shows Russians Troops at Narva after it's capture in late July 1944 and the young lad in the front has an MP40 !!

I thenk two of the guys with PPsh, and 2 with PPS, look at the barrel and the bolt's hanger at the reight side, also sights. But anyway interesting picture

Well it's rather Amercian M3 Scout version that russiang gain by the "Lend Lease" Plan.

Here what i foung in one books of Opsrey dedicated to the russians. It is well known that in Berlin for example, russians like to use german anti-tank "Panzerfaust".

Also antoher exaple of "Lend-Lease" Amercian: tanks M3 Stuart, Thompson sub maschine gun and Browing Heavy Maschine gun and also amercian tank helmet in use by the russians. This picture is belived to be made in Kaukaz in 1942.

i love this site,the info and pics are nothing short of amazing.after listening to my dad and uncles as a kid,and spending 8 yrs in the cdn military in europe and the middle east
