I actually thought I had seen that image with himmler before, it is a still taken from a piece of movie film, I'm certain I have it in several documentaries that I have.

That's true, the story is very Hollywood. I don't want to say anything bad about this honorable old soldier, but the photo with Himmler is VERY famous and it was made in Minsk, august 41. Judge by yourself if an english POW could be there among Russians.
