Thanks Nick, not been a bad year. Had a week in Normandy in August, attended the Dieppe 75th Anniversary in August as well, had a long weekend in Dunkirk August Bank Holiday just gone
You are doing well !!
Most recent trip was to the Somme and Ypres a couple of weeks back, was the 100th Anniversary of my Great Uncles death at 3rd Ypres, 15th October 1917. Looking forward now to returning to Ypres at Christmas
Hopefully will be doing a Leger Tour of Italy Campaign next year !
...you might get a "Luxuria" on that one! :-)
A few trips...but NEVER on the Lux.....'reckon they keep those for the posh folk! :-)
Hey again,
Not quite WW2, but I would also really recommend "Museum of the Patriotic War in 1812" located right in the center, next to the Red Square.
Really interesting permanent exhibition on the the 1812 war. You will see Napoleon's decorations just in front of you.
But they also have temporary exhibitions. This August there was a great one about Russo-Turkish Balkan wars 1877-1878. There will be a new one though. I think, about the revolution.
Wow! Moscow was amazing!
Apart from visiting the tourist parts I went to the Museum of the Great Patriotic War and Victory Park which were incredible!
Also took some pics of WW2 armour on Red Square
Too many photos to upload so here are some tasters !
