Trip to Moscow

Article about: I'm off to Moscow for a long weekend next week, I cant wait. I am planning to visit the Museum of the Great Patriotic War but I don't want to miss any hidden WW2 gems in the city If you know

    Yes a great collection. Brings back memories of constructing Airfix models of those various armoured vehicles as a kid!

    The Museum of the Great Patriotic War and Victory Park are really recommended. Unfortunately, when I was there last year, I didn't know that the vehicles where there outside. So I need to come back for that :-). Hopefully next year...
    Did you found any militaria in Moscow?

    I have to say Im not keen on the Russians obsession with dioramas......they seem to like a good paint job on a wall with a few bits in front to give it depth......that’s why we have photographs.....

    I’d much prefer to walk around the “stuff” (technical term) rather than see kit coated in fake mud with wood and bricks and stuff......

    Personal opinion......

    Either way, if that’s the only way one can see stuff I’ll sign up every day..... :-)

    Thanks for the pictures! Looks like they have added a lot to Victory Park since I was there in 2001.
