    Evgeni, well done on presenting a very nicely put together thread. These heroes are clearly respected in your country, and deservedly so. What I really like to see, is the people turning out in large numbers to show their appreciation. Too many fail to recognise the sacrifice made many years ago.

    Several of my relatives fought against these people, they had , as do I ,nothing but the utmost respect for the Russian soldier (and civilian) . I honestly still cannot comprehend how people of either side survived such horrendous conditions. Thank you for sharing their well-being, I wish them a long and healthy life.
