    Default 3rd Pattern FS Knife

I have read that the Third Pattern didn't begin production till 1943 but this one is dated 1942 and I was able to purchase it direct from the 6th Para Regiment veterans state back in 1998, so I will have to defer to the experts on this one.

Hi guys,i've just joined your excellent forum and have just been browsing.I just thought you may be interested to know that the /!\ 42 mark is a known and recorded version and is an inspectors mark and not the date,ie 1942.
    Steve.
