Early 2nd pattern F-S

after 30 emails since February and 1 hr drive from home finally i got it .not mint some sharping on the blade well used condition,with no marking. BUT its an early 2 nd pattern with 1 pattern handle .1941/42 production year.

These all nickel #2s are pretty hard to come by.

Re the 1st pattern handle designation, it's probably best to say that the nickel finished handle common to all 1st pattern knives was carried over to early 2nd pattern production knives, of which yours is a nice example. A good honest looking knife Mike. Thanks for sharing it with us. Are you certain the are no MOD Inspectorate of Stores markings either on the handle near the cross guard, or on the cross guard itself? Some of these acceptance stamps were very lightly applied.
