Fairbairn-Sykes dagger

Article about: hi guys i beleive this as a good wartime commando dagger but i would like to make sure as a few opinions is better it has a mark on the handle like /I with a 2 below it, it looks like a bad

    Yes i love the old OSS items, The predecessors of the CIA, and MI6.

    That's a great looking dagger, the tip could have broken off from hitting a rib bone, as it was stuck inside a person, and of course, the owner of the dagger would have re-grounded a new tip.

    Just my 2 cents worth.


    Here is a some new Agency items that i own. If you notice on my one SAD medallion, it has the dagger on it.

    once again i will say to you ,,you are a lucky man to own such a dagger it does not matter ,, infact beter that the tip of the blade has been re done
    it just adds to the history and the life that this knife has had it may well have had its tip damaged from combat as has been sugested in earlia posts
    who are we to know
    treasure it and respect it cheers ian
    you know mabe it actualy was used for the job it was suposed to do ??????
    above all you have something there to be proud of ,its one of thoese if you know what i meen

    hey guys please dont put the oss in the same legue as mi5 mi6 or mi9 and SOEthe oss did some good and famouse things but they came in to late to do what our guys did ,including my mother , see thread gizela toth
    the oss were good dont get me wrong but the british soe were there
    didnt nead the t shirt long befor the oss was even thought of
    no offence ment to any one but cheers ian

    All i was trying to say was, that the OSS are the predecessors of the US, and British Intelligence Agencies of today.
