Here is another FS knife that I have had for some time. It is marked on the handle near the pommel with a #2. It is also marked on the guard with a #2. The guard is also marked "Venture, HM Slater, Sheffield". The scabbard is intact.

Very nice Ralph l have a post war one in my own collection although not as desirable as the war time dated models such as yours it makes a good filler for now.

    Regards Mark
Always on the look out for WW II Canadian Helmets and Cam nets to add to my collection.

Found a Canadian Mk II Medics Helmet and yes I know they are about as rare as hens teeth !!!!!

    Thanks Mark!
I also have a couple of post war models, purchased before I was able to find any war time ones.

    Odd 'screw down' pommel.

My (immediate post war) has a plain non-screw down pommel.

    Hello Lance,
I like the Marine Raider stiletto on the right!
One I do not have in my collection yet.

I agree with Ralph. That full hilt Raider stiletto is sweet.
I'm still hoping to stumble across a #1 FS that I don't have
to put a second mortgage on the house to own.
