This seems to be a commemorative or replica of some sort. Anyone know how old it is? I read somewhere maybe manufactured during the 90's?
Is this common or rare?

Yes, 1990's - sold/marketed through the 'EK Commando Knife Company',
located in Richmond Va., as I recall.
I have some sales literature about this knife from them. I suspect H.G. Long
made quite a few of them, so I do not think they are particularly rare,
but rather uncommon. They are one of the 'better quality' replicas.
Regards,
Steve.
What were they charging for this when they were still selling them? I don't see it now on their web site.
I thought I had, and cannot find the ad just now, but I will keep looking.
I know they were over $100.
'Ek' was bought out by 'Blackjack Knives' but I don't know
if they are still in business today.....
Regards,
Steve.
Ek is still in business in Richmond. They make the Fairbairn-Sykes Mark II. It is a beauty. Web site is Ek Commando Knife Company - Collectible Military Fighting Knives and Blades.
