Re: Could this fallschirjaeger helmet be genuine?
yes the shell looks good , and has age to it , a good test is if you squeeze it at the sides it should not move all copys move some you could crush in your hands so only mm s , but all genuine ones will not move a mm as they are built for combat use . the shell looks good to me , liner and chin strap are not ww2 as you know by now .

Paint looks like its been into acid - liner is all too new to fit the helmets look.

I think your username somewhat contradicts reality
the shell is genuine, and as already explained in the thread the headstraps are post war
Thanks
Danny
Hi 'Stalhelm expert'
I don't know if you've read all the postings, but in my very first one I said the liner was repro, I also said the chinstraps were Bundeswehr. The shell is indeed genuine (ET71) as is the remainder of the Normandy cammo. The idea was to prove to other collectors that you cannot go off pictures alone to judge an items authenticity. Although obviously, some think they can!

I think your way of judging posts is way bad. The amount of exclamation marks in my "FaKe!!!" post should already there give you tweaks about what the idea was. As the other guys say: read the thread and face the point.
I was being as ironic as you can imagine
Thanks,
Donald.
