Fallschirmjager helmet

What are your thoughts on this helmet, real or tampered with. The guy that has it seems to think it may have been cut down?.

I don't like it the edge looks really badly done for a start and padding looks wrong

Cut down from what? Curious why someone would say something like that (and that someone would believe it).

As far as other people bidding on it. I used to feel bad but have gotten over it. Just a little bit of research or reaching out for help (like you did) really should be done all the time. Other wise...you know the saying. "A fool and his money are soon parted"
