Not for me. Jim G.
Im afraid i dont like it, that camo is really strange, it looks like its been pulled through a hedge backwards with a lot of uneccessary scratches to disguise the decals, the interior should have several sections of rubber as backing , the straps dont show well enough their true condition and the liner looks to have been messed with, im thinking repro, but see if any more comments are offered
Im with Jim and Dave.
Don't bother with this one. Too much post war activity happened with this helmet. The finish is beyond description. Cross hatch scratches is not very encouraging appears fabricated. With the pictures supplied there is not much to be able to judge on the chinstrap.
There are already 3 good opinions ahead of mine.
Looks like someone took brillo to it. No good.
Thanks gents, the surface marks alone pose questions but I wanted to hear your views anyway. As ever, your comments are appreciated.
Regards,
Carl
The scratches and the rust look like they were done a few minutes ago.
Hi Carl, while the guys here are correct, this photo is the only one you need to confirm this helmet is postwar junk.
Look at the stampings. Totally incorrect. The other huge giveaway is the folding to the rim. On any original you will see an impressed line due to the machine used to make the fold. This is missing here....
Cheers, Ade.
