All that rust and no signs of pitting... very poor pictures too.
Agree Harry. Light source needs to be behind your back when taking photos. But I'm not liking what I can see. Photo 7 shows strange fluid rust pattern marks and as mentioned, the lack of pitting for a buried relic is surprising. So we are to assume the liner has rotted away but the shell is not rust pitted. That seems unlikely.
Such an effect can be achieved quite quickly with a 10% solution of ammonium chloride and water.
