    Just to point out that this one doesn't have a distinct tooling mark either! .....and it's a ET68 - ( and definitely orig )

    Double click on the shots of the rim, you will see the tool marks. Jim G.

    The tool mark is definitely there. A very nice helmet, more than a relic.

    Very nice! I looked on the bases, find the names but not with a J, so the soldier is not missing, not in a military cemetery.

    There's no J. Masch but 12 J. Mosch found through the Volksbund Grabersuche. But it would seem that it's an a and not an o in there, making it Masch, anyway....so, you're probably right, this soldier is not registered MIA/KIA... At least not as far as one can tell using these online search engines.

    Maybe there's some other way of finding out, as you've got both rank and company to go with the name?

    Either way... great helmet!
