M38 Fallschirmjäger Medics helmet: real?
What do you think about this helmet?
He said that German para helmet found in an old locker I got for my son. I don't understand why it's stripped but...it is. You're the expert. No interior liner, it looks to be in pretty rough shape but someone might like it.
I'll get more pictures soon.
thanks colton

More pictures are needed and closer pictures.
The FJ helmets are very rare and are reproduce alot.

I asked him for more pictures and he said that was all he had. He said that the size was marked CKL 71. I may go look at, if I did what should I look for?

stay away from that helmet, do not buy it.
Here why this type of helmet are very rare ,and you got one that has the white camo with the red cross plus the eagle never seen one that was real.ET 71and CKL71 are the size being reproduce. The guy send you pictures from a distance and cant send you any closer pictures that is what people selling fakes do.A original would cost 10000$ or more but the guy will sell it for 2000$

Another fake. If you had it in hand it would be lite weight compared to an original.
Right now, in my opinion, it has the wrong bolts for a ckl marked helmet.
Not worth a "tinkers damn".

Its looks great, and very rare, and i wish it where genuine, but the rarer a helmet the more likely it is to be faked.closer up pic of the interior would help the guys determine if its good or bad,my final gut feeling is its too good to be true.he cant send close up pictures ,very suspicious,lv

Obvious fake , IMO. As has been said, 'too good to be true'
The decal, though it has patches of damage, otherwise looks in far too good condition to have been on that helmet for 65 years or so, whilst the rest of it looks battered. Also, the crap pics are a warning sign, as is the lack of liner and straps, as they are easilly recognised as fakes by the people with that knowledge. CKL and ET 71's are the usual fake MM/size markings, as was stated earlier.
Better pics might change my opinion, but I doubt that.
